Spend to provide free education rather than on publicity, Minister Santosh Lad tells Modi
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Santosh Lad, the Minister for Labour, has stressed on the 'One Nation, Free Education' policy rather than 'One Nation, One Election' and remarked that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should stop spending huge amounts on his publicity and start spending funds to make education free across the country.
The minister’s comment came after the BJP pushed for the One Nation, One Election policy.
Lad criticized Modi and said the 'One Nation, One Election'gimmick is intended to divert attention from ongoing issues in the country.
“Modi is good at PR. The election is near and he had brought in a controversy to make people talk about it”, he said.
The minister said education in the country has become expensive in the last ten years.
“Middle-class people are unable to secure proper education because of this. Rather than spending on his publicity, the PM must spend on education to let everyone have access to it,” he stressed.
