BTP imposes traffic restrictions for annual feast and procession of St. Mary

Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Traffic Police imposed traffic restrictions in Shivajinagar today, September 8, in view of the annual feast and procession of St. Mary.

The following roads will be closed to vehicular traffic: Meenakshi Koil Street, from Jyothi café Circle towards Russel Market. Broadway road, from its junction with Cockburn Road towards Russel Market. Dharmaraja Koil Street from its junction with Old Poor House road towards Russel Market Taj Circle. BRV junction on Cubbon Road towards Shivajinagar Bus stand, from South to North including BMTC buses. Balekundry circle towards Shivaji Nagar Bus stand, from west to East including BMTC Buses from 2 pm onwards.

The alternate routes that citizens can take are, BRV Jn – Central Street – right turn – Safeena Plaza – left turn – Commercial Street – Kamaraja road.

The traffic restrictions will be in place from 2 pm today until the procession concludes. Motorists are advised to plan their travel accordingly and avoid the affected areas.
