KSRTC penalised 3208 ticketless passengers in Aug

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) penalised 3208 ticketless passengers in the month of August, KSRTC officials said on Wednesday.

The officials said that during the last month, 44,416 buses were checked during which 3020 pilferage cases were detected. While Rs 4,70,801 was collected as fines from the ticketless passengers, pilferage amount of Rs 69,336 was also detected by the ticket checking inspectors.

The state transport corporation has requested the public to obtain valid ticket.
