IAS officer gets additional duties

Bengaluru: Another IAS officer was given an additional charge by the State government in what has become a common occurrence even 100 days after the Congress rode to power.

Chairman of the Karnataka School Examination and Evaluation Board (KSEEB) Ramachandran R Bengaluru has been given the additional responsibility of Special Commissioner (Elections) of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).

It is not clear whether Ramachandran will be relieved of his earlier post at some point as the State government continues its rejigging of the bureaucracy.
