Fare well to dog

Kolar, NT Bureau: Lyka, the sniffer dog attached to DAR Kolar, received a ceremonial send-off on her retirement on Thursday.

Lyka, who joined the police force eleven years ago, participated in the investigation of more than 300 crimes, including murder, dacoity, and theft.

The dog was able to provide definite clues in at least 35 cases, leading to the apprehension of the culprits based on the information provided by the dog.

Kolar SP M Narayan felicitated the dog on her retirement on Friday and also congratulated trainers Naresh Kumar and Rami Reddy for providing excellent training to her.
