School timings: Edu Min to meet school representatives to discuss revision
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The Karnataka HC has recently recommended a revision of school timings within the city to tackle the growing traffic issues.
Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa is slated to convene a meeting with education department officials and representatives from private schools. Schools in the city typically operate between 8:45/9 am and 3:30/4 pm.
The government is exploring the possibility of advancing the school start time by one hour in a bid to alleviate traffic congestion.
It's worth noting that previous suggestions to adjust school timings, either earlier or later, faced opposition from parents and private school operators for various reasons.
