Secret Agent back on track?

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: After the unexpected stepping down of Naveen Medaram as the director of Devil – The British Secret Agent earlier this month, the film seems to be back on track under producer Abhishek Nama who has taken over the captaincy.

The first single from the music album, Maaye Chesey, was released earlier this week. To the relief of lead actor Nandamuri Kalyanram and Nama, the song sung by Sid Sriram has been received positively by fans.

The periodic film, set in 1945, in the dying years of British occupation of India and the World War II is expected to be released in theatres in November.

Launched way back in 2021, the film has been marred by the differences between Medaram and Nama. The creative differences culminated in the director walking away on the cusp of the film’s completion.

The first single credited Abhishek Nama as both the director and producer. The song with lyrics by Satya RV and music by Harshavardhan Rameshwar.

The movie starring Kalyan Ram, Malvika Nair and Samyuktha. This will be Kalyan Ram’s second release of the year after Amigos. The film will be released in Kannada, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam apart from Telugu.

The promotions of the film has picked up pace after the producer took over the mantle of director.

Just days before the release of the first single, the film team also revealed the character of Samyuktha in the film with a first-look poster.

She plays the character of Swayambhu in the film.
