Speeding car crashes into tree, 1 student serious

Bengaluru: Five students of a private university had a narrow escape after their car crashed into a roadside tree on the Chandapura to Anekal road on Wednesday morning.

The Anekal police who inspected the spot following the incident, said that the incident took place near Karpur Gate when the students were heading for their classes in a car bearing a Kerala registration number.

One of the students sustained severe injuries after which he was taken to a hospital by a few locals. It is said that the student driving the car was overspeeding due to which he lost control of the wheel and crashed into a tree.

According to the sources, the students were pursuing their LLB course at a private college in Bengaluru. A case has been registered by the police and further investigation is on.
