Sighting of a suspicious drone reported by KIA

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: A suspicious drone was reported in the restricted air space at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in the city during the time a plane was taking off recently.

The orange and saffron drone was reportedly spotted on Tuesday by pilots of IndiGo flights bound for Delhi and Mumbai about 6 nautical miles away after takeoff.

The pilots immediately informed the Air Traffic Control (ATC) at the KIA, leading to some anxiety.

Drones and other flying objects are not allowed in the airport airspace without permission, but the sighting of a drone has raised concern.
