Press meet of Tamil actor stopped by activists

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: A group of Cauvery protesters intervened in a press conference of Tamil actor Siddharth, here at SRV Theatre, Bengaluru on Thursday.

Siddarth, who i s known for his roles in 'Rang De Basanti' and 'Boys,' was here to promote his movie titled "Chiththa," which was recently released.

In a video posted on 'X' (previously twitter) Siddarth is seen addressing journalists until a group of men walked in, wearing yellow and red scarfs and calling for the press meet to be called off immediately.

The leader tried to convince those present that it was not a good idea to hold a press meet at this juncture. Siddharth however said the film was well dubbed in the language and thanked Karnataka fans.

"All the water here is going to Tamil Nadu, and he is here holding a press meet, is this required?" one of the activists asked.

After persuasion to 'stop' the presser, the actor handed over the microphone and left.
