SUV overturns, four people suffer injuries

Bengaluru: In yet another case of reckless driving, four people escaped with minor injuries after their speeding SUV hit a street pole on the Kamakshipalya road median and overturned on Friday.

According to sources, the incident took place around 4 am on Kamakshipalya Traffic Police Station limits. It is suspected that the driver and the passengers in the vehicle were drunk.

It was alleged that the jurisdictional traffic police, who visited the spot, let off the driver and the other occupants without taking any action against them. Sources further said that the cops themselves got the crashed SUV towed away to the police station.

However when contacted, the traffic police said that a case has been registered and investigation is underway.
