Production Commences for 'Kannappa' in New Zealand

Bengaluru: Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu's ambitious project, 'Kannappa,' has embarked on its production journey in New Zealand.
This film is a realization of Vishnu's long-cherished dream, aiming to be an epic mythological master piece. Vishnu had expressed his aspiration for such a project seven years ago.
Seven years ago, Bhramanandam, the producer of the film, narrated the story of 'Kannappa' to Vishnu.
Since then, the journey from conceptualization to actual production has been nothing short of a herculean effort. Vishnu made it clear that the film's success relied on the expert guidance and suggestions of his team, which includes veterans like Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, Vijayendra Prasad, Totapalli Sai Nath, Totapalli Prasad, and directors Nagaswara Reddy and Eshwar Reddy.
Reflecting on the strenuous jour ney, Vishnu mentioned, "For the 'Kannappa' film crew, these pre-production activities in New Zealand have been an unforgettable experience.
Our team worked tirelessly without breaks, often sacrificing holidays and even sleep to fulfill their responsibilities. Despite the numerous challenges, our determination and faith remained unwavering.
The 'Kannappa' team has come a long way, and over 600 dedicated individuals have left their homes to bring our dreams to life in New Zealand.

Rajkumar reprised the role in the Telugu version Kalahasti Mahatyam the same year. In the 1980s, Rajkumar’s son Shivarajkumar again reprised the role in Shiva Mechchida Kannappa.
The new film showcases the talent and dedication of some of the country's finest actors. The film will be dubbed and released in other languages including Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.
