3 students held for stealing devices worth Rs 50 lakh

Bengaluru: Three college students were arrested by the city police for allegedly stealing electronic devices including mobile phones, laptops, smartwatches and handycams worth Rs 50 lakh from an electronic store in the city.
The arrested were identified by the police as Moulesh, 19, Prabhu, 20, and Ajay, 19.
During a press conference on Tuesday, the police said that the main suspect in the case was Prabhu, a Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) student, who later coerced two other students, into joining him.
On September 28, late at night, the trio, who stayed in and around Madiwala, broke into the Gadgets Club located on New BEL Road and committed the crime.
With their arrest, the police recovered 29 Apple iPhones, three OnePlus mobiles, 11 Samsung mobiles, three Google phones, four Oppo mobile phones and two mobile phones from the manufacturer IQOO, several laptops and handycams, 202 types of smartwatches and other electronic devices.
They also impounded a Maruti Suzuki Eeco and a two-wheeler allegedly used for the crime.
