Lineman tragically electrocuted while on duty

Chikkaballapur, NT Bureau: A tragic incident unfolded when a lineman, on duty for Bescom, was electrocuted while attempting to repair an electrical installation.

The loss has left his newly-wed wife traumatised and devastated. The victim, identified as Vivek Patil, hailed from Ubbarawadi in Raibag Taluk, Belgaum District.

He served as a lineman in Chikkaballapur district's Bescom department. It was reported that Vivek Patil might not have taken adequate precautions while attempting the repair.
