State govt hiring experts for anti misinformation unit

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The State government is looking to hire individuals and teams for the setting up of the Information Disorder Tackling Unit (TDTU).

The unit will have three wings, namely a Fact Verification Team (FVT), Analytics Squad (AS) and Capacity Development Team (CDT). The Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS) would hire the teams.

The last date for applications is October 16 (5 pm). The applications can be filled on the KITs website kppp.karnataka.gov.in. The Fact Verification Team will consist of “impartial” fact-checking organisations chosen by the State government to detect and address false information.

The Analytics Squad would utilize advanced technologies such as data analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and actively oversee the ecosystem of misinformation.
