Roads in Bengaluru city will be closed for marathon run today

Bengaluru: The roads in the central business district of the city will be closed between 4am to 11am on Sunday as people take part in the 8th Edition of Bengaluru Marathon.

The Bengaluru Traffic Police(BTP) has issued an advisory regarding alternative routes during the event. Four roads - Kasturba Road from Hudson Circle to Queens Junction, Mahatma Gandhi Road from Queens Junction to Mayo hall Junction, Mallya Road from Siddalingaiah Junction to RRMR Junction, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Road from Balekundri Junction to KR Circle and Queens Road, from CTO Junction to Queens Junction will be closed.

Vehicles coming from Halasuru towards K.R Market can move on MG road and take the left at Mayohall junction towards Garuda mall on Commissionarate road and reach Richmond circle via D’souza circle.

Vehicles moving from City Market and Majestic towards Halasur u are advised to avoid Kasturba Road and take the Devanga hostel,Richmond circle,Residency route via Mayo Hall to move towards Old Airport.

Vehicles moving towards Shivajinagara from Adugodi on Hosur Road must take the left at Ashoknagar signal and via Richmond Circle, RRMR, KG road, Mysore Bank Circle reach KR Circle.

Vehicles on the same road towards the airport are advised to take Richmond Road, KG Road, Mysore Bank Circle and Palace Road. Vehicles coming from Majestic and moving towards Hosur Road must take the Hudson Circle, Devanga Hostel Road, Subbaiah Circle - Poornima and further towards Lal Bagh.

Vehicles moving From Shivajinagar towards K R Market should move on Queens Road, CTO, Cubbon Road, Manipal Center, Webbs Junction, MG Road, and take the left turn at Mayohall and continue via Garuda Mall and D’souza circle.

Vehicles from Old Airport towards MG Road can use ASC junction, India Garage, Palm Groove Junction, D’souza Circle and further move towards Richmond road.

Vehicles from KH road towards Shivajinagar should continue from Richmond Road, RRMR, Hudson Circle, KG Road, KR Circle and move further via Ambedkar Road.
