Following Bommai’s advice on MLA grants: DKS

Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Sunday hit back against BJP MLA and former CM Basavaraja Bommai for suggesting that the State government was discriminating when it came to grants set aside for Opposition MLAs.

Shivakumar dmerely said that the State government had been following Bommai’s own advice on grants to Opposition lawmakers in a speech that the former CM had made in the Legislative Council.

“We are following what Bommai had said in his answer in his speech in the Legislative Council,” Shivakumar told mediapersons.

Congress MLA from Aland BR Patil and party MLA from Yelburga Basavaraja Rayareddy had written to CM Siddaramaiah claiming that ministers were being inaccessible to MLAs.
