Mysuru: ''There must be a struggle for religion to survive here. There is nothing wrong with conflicts arising from the protection of religion; it is a matter of upholding the self-respect of Mother Chamundi. We are fully prepared to fight to preserve this self-respect, and we will not tolerate any misconduct on Chamundi Hill. That's why we have organized the Chalo Chamundi Jatha," announced Mysuru-Kodagu BJP MP (in pic) Pratap Simha.

While speaking at the BJP office during the poster release event for "Chamundi Hill Chalo," he emphasized that they will not allow Mahisha to celebrate Dussehra.

The "Chalo Chamundi Hill Jatha" is scheduled to commence at 8 am on October 13, with over 5,000 people expected to participate. Simha said that he would begin by offering prayers to Mother Chamundi and then sit in front of the Mahishasura statue.

Simha asserted that they are prepared to engage in conflicts when it comes to safeguarding the country and religion.

He stated that the BJP had evolved through such conflicts and added that they remain resolute on preventing any misconduct on Chamundi Hill.
