
Govt to submit report on mitigating traffic jams in 8 week
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Following an earlier suggestion by the High Court of Karnataka on September 12, the State Government on Tuesday informed the Court that the State Government is consulting with stakeholders to alter the working timings of schools and industries to prevent traffic congestion.
The Additional Advocate General Prathima Honnapura informed the division bench of Chief Justice Prasanna B Varale and Justice Krishna S Dixit that a meeting was held with the participation of the Labour Department and industry leaders on October 5.
Another meeting with representatives of school management on October 9. The consultation process is underway and as per the directions of the court, suitable solutions are being explored.
