Munish Moudgil appointed as Special Commissioner, Revenue, BBMP

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The state gover nment, on Wednesday, issued an order assigning additional responsibilities to six IAS officers including Munish Moudgil in Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).

As per the orders, Munish Moudgil has been appointed as Special Commissioner, Revenue Department BBMP. The notification also said that the government is considering to hike the pay scale of the Paurakarmikas.

Five other IAS officers who were provided with an additional charge at BBMP are: Vinoth Priya as Commissioner, South Zone; Karigowda as Yelahanka Zonal Commissioner; R Snehal as East Zone Commissioner; Preeti Gehlot as Dasarahalli Zonal Commissioner and Ibrahim Maigur as BBMP Mahadevapur Zonal Commissioner.

Munish Moudgil is a 1998 batch IAS officer. He was the district in-charge secretary and had served as the Commissioner for Survey Settlement and Land Records.

He also held the post of District Collector in Ramanagara district between June 2008 and June 2009. In recognition of his work and outstanding contributions, the Central Government honored Munish Maudgil with the National Award for e-Governance.

Earlier the Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar had expressed his desire to appoint Munish Moudgil as Special Commissioner of BBMP
