Another IT raid in the city

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Income Tax Department officials on Thursday conducted simultaneous searches at 15 locations in the city belonging to businessmen and jewellers in relation to suspected tax evasion.

The searches were carried out at Mullur near Sarjapur, RMV Extension, BEL Circle, Malleswaram, Dollars Colony among other places in Bengaluru, and checked the records of the businessmen.

A similar round of ITraid on gold jewelers was held by the Department officers last week. The documents found during the earlier raid is said to have led the officers to conduct a second round of raids here.
