Youth dies after crashing into a parked truck

Bengaluru: A youth died after he allegedly crashed into a parked truck in Chickpet Traffic Police Station limits on Saturday night. The deceased was identified as Jayasurya, 16, residing near Royan Circle in Bengaluru.

It was learnt that he was pursuing a First year Pre-university Course. The traffic police said that the incident took place around 9:30 pm when the youth was riding on the road behind the CCB office.

As the youth was speeding, he failed to notice a truck parked on the road and crashed into it, the police said. A severely injured youth was shifted to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to injuries without responding to the treatment.

The body was sent to Victoria Hospital for a post mortem analysis before being handed over to the family. A case has been registered at the Chickpet Traffic Police Station regarding the incident.
