Bengaluru: The Artifical Intelligence (AI) developed by a city-based startup, Beyond Bengaluru, has achieved notable success in various medical exams.
Known as "August AI," the AI has excelled in the National Eligibility-cumEntrance Test for Post-Graduation (NEET PG) and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Postgraduate (AIIMS PG) exams in India, scoring an impressive 74.5 per cent.
Furthermore, it secured a remarkable 94.8 per cent on the US Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE), a crucial test for medical practitioners in the US.
August AI's performance outshone established AI systems, including OpenAI's GPT-4 and Google's MedPaLM. August AI is a multimodal platform, accepting input in diverse formats like audio, text, and PDF Lab, and providing output in text format.
Currently, it assists individuals in managing both physical and mental health issues and simplifying intricate health procedures. Remarkably, the platform is available for free use on WhatsApp.
This Indian-developed AI is specifically designed to comprehend the intricacies of the Indian healthcare system. Anuruddh Mishra, Co-Founder & CEO of Beyond, explained that August AI leverages a combination of large language models (LLMs) and a custom orchestration layer, making it an innovative educational tool.
