Roots in anti-graft struggle, says AAP in Vijayapura

Vijayapura: Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP’s) tour of north and Kalyana Karnataka continued as their leaders visited Vijayapura district on Sunday.
On the occasion, AAP state president Mukhyamantri Chandru pointed out that the party was born out of Anna Hazare’s hunger strikes and the India Against Corruption (IAC) movement.
“Arvind Kejriwal, who was involved in the Satyagraha struggle with Anna Hazare, was challenged by the then Central (Congressled) government to face and win the elections. The Aam Aadmi Party was born as an answer to that challenge,” Chandru said.
Mukhyamantri Chandru is on a state tour for party organisation at the local level. He visited Siddeshwar Swami's Sannidhi Jnana Yoga Ashram in the district.
The AAP leader rejected the allegation that Anna Hazare had carried out satyagraha with the intention of bringing BJP to power at the Centre.
