Couple arrested for killing man

Bengaluru: Initiating a probe after a man's body was found near RMC Yard, the city police have arrested a woman and her husband for allegedly killing the person.

The Mahalakshmi Layout police identified the accused as Rajesh Kumar, a labourer working in RMC Yard, and his wife Neha Kumari. News Trail on Monday had reported the incident after the police identified the deceased as Sajjan Singh, 33, who also worked as a labourer.

The police on Tuesday said Neha Kumari had an affair with Sajjan Singh before marriage which continued even after she was married to Rajesh Kumar. It was learnt that Kumar, on Sunday caught the duo redhanded and decided to confront Singh.

On Sunday night, Kumar and Singh engaged in a violent argument during which Kumar stabbed Singh with a knife, killing him on the spot. With the help of Neha, Kumar carried the body and dumped it at a site.

The body was discovered in the morning by few traders and locals who alerted the police.
