Bengaluru: After almost 90 days since the tragic suicide of Aditya Prabhu, allegedly due to mental harassment, the police have filed a chargesheet against the private institute.
The chargesheet signifies a critical step in the pursuit of justice and brings to light a number of significant developments in the investigation.
Dusyant Dubey, a Bengaluru-based activist who operates under the X handle @ St_Brosephs, shared this development, which was corroborated by the deceased student's family.
Aditya Prabhu, a 19-year-old engineering student at Bengaluru's PES University, took his own life on July 17 by jumping from the eighth floor of a building on the college campus.
The college had reportedly accused Aditya of academic misconduct during an examination. This incident garnered widespread attention and headlines in the Bengaluru student community.
The deceased's family established a social media account, '@justiceforadityaprabhu,' where they detailed allegations of mental harassment against the college administration, including the student's mentor and other officials.
