Bengaluru: Last month, the trailer for the film 'Senapura' was released, and just around that time, director Guru Savan had announced another new film.
Within a month, they are back with 'Man Ray,' and the official announcement came on Monday, with filming set to start in November.
Featuring Bhoomika Kreations' Tilak Raj and Rajan as the producers, 'Man Ray' will see Ajay Raj in the lead role, while the talented Aishwarya Rangarajan takes on the female lead.
Additionally, the film boasts an ensemble cast, including Rajani of 'Amritavarshini' fame, Pramod Shetty, Surya Siddharth, Amit Raj, and others.
Director Guru Savan, while discussing 'Man Ray,' explained, "When we say 'Man Ray,' it signifies the X-ray of the mind. We are attempting to delve into the intricacies of the human psyche through this film.
It's a psychological thriller that explores the complexities of human thought processes, both conscious and subconscious."
He added, "The film is set in the world of psychiatry and psychoanalysis, and it's a story we've been developing for about 8-9 years. It's a complete work of fiction."
Ajay Raj, the lead actor, elaborated, "Typically, a psychological thriller involves crime or violence, but in this film, there's none of that. It's a psychological battle happening within the mind. The lead character is the problem. We want to show how his problems affect those around him."
Actress Rajani, who takes on a special role in the film, shared her excitement, saying, "I was approached by the directors to listen to a scene, and later, I was asked to act in the film. I probably thought I would be a glamorous doctor in the movie, but it's not that simple. This is a challenging role, something I haven't done in the films I've seen so far."
Adding to the excitement, Aishwarya Rangarajan expressed her joy about her role in the film, "I play a pivotal character in the movie. The directors came, narrated a scene, and I thought I would be playing a glamorous character. But it's not just that; it's a complex character. I've never played a role like this before."
The film marks a significant achievement for producer Tilak Raj, who currently resides in the United States. Making a film in India has been a long-cherished dream, and 'Man Ray' is turning that dream into reality.
The film also features popular singer Aniruddh Shastry, who is not only composing music but also playing a key role in the film.
