Man commits suicide after his daughter elopes with lover

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: A man was found hanging from a tree near Chikkakere Road in Anekal Police Station limits on Sunday.

The police said few residents alerted them after they saw the body hanging from a tree. Following the inspection, the police identified the deceased as Gopal, 40, a weaver and a resident of Narayanapura village.

It was learnt that the man was depressed after his daughter eloped with her lover two days ago.

On Sunday morning, he reached the spot and hanged himself to death. The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
