B'luru to face scheduled power cuts till Friday

Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Power Supply Company (BESCOM) and Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) are undertaking comprehensive maintenance operations across the city, leading to these temporary power cuts in several areas until Friday, October 27.

The power cuts, occurring from 10 am to 4 pm, are vital for enhancing the city's power infrastructure.

The maintenance efforts encompass a diverse set of tasks, including but not limited to relocating cables from overhead to underground, maintaining DTC structures, conducting line maintenance, securing jumps, substituting wor n poles, rectifying subterranean cable issues, pruning trees, facilitating Jalasiri 24x7 water supply initiatives, and aligning leaning poles, among various other activities.

While these power interruptions may disrupt daily life, they are indispensable in ensuring the city can keep pace with its rapid growth and burgeoning demands.

Residents are requested to prepare by considering alternative sources during these outages.
