Customs official seize valuables worth Rs 1.76 crore

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The customs officials at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) apprehended two passengers after they were found to be allegedly carrying gold bars and a chain worth Rs 1.76 crore here.

According to customs officials, gold bars weighing 3 kilograms were concealed in three separate cases.

They were seized after conducting checks on passengers arriving from Kuala Lumpur, Dubai and Colombo. Two people have been arrested so far and further investigation is being carried out, said the officials.
