27 engineers suspended by Rural Development department

Bengaluru: The Rural Development and Panchayat Raj De par tment took decisive action on Thursday, issuing separate suspension orders for 27 of its officers, including Assistant Executive Engineers, Assistant Engineers, and Junior Engineers.

These suspensions were a direct response to the officers' dereliction of duty, as they failed to report to their newly assigned transfer posts.

These suspensions were carried out in accordance with Rule 10(1) (d) of the Civil Service Rules, 1957, and all these officers have been suspended pending further departmental inquiry.

The department has instructed the suspended officials to vacate their posts immediately.

The list of suspended officers includes 5 Assistant Executive Engineers (AEE), 7 Assistant Engineers (AE), and 15 Junior Engineers (JE), according to a departmental release.
