Bengaluru: November 24 is set to become a crowded week for Sandalwood. Apart from the run-of-the-mill productions, two important films are set to clash at the box office.

Ramya’s return to films albeit as a producer, "Swati Muttina Maale Haniye" is all set to hit screens across Karnataka on November 24.

Incidentally she was supposed to have starred in the movie as well, but at the last moment Siri Ravikumar was announced as the leading lady. The other film releasing on the same day is Bad Manners directed by Duniya Suri and starring Abishek Ambareesh.

Abishek has not had a good start to his career and he is hoping that Suri will put it back on track. After a string of success till 2018, the director’s Popcorn Monkey Tiger did not do well at the box office in 2020.

He is returning three years later and there are big hopes for the director as well. Bad Manners is a cop action drama and the ‘Junior Rebel Star’ is attempting to get into the mantle of his father, Ambareesh who was known for his action and political films.

On the other hand, "Swati Muttina Maale Haniye" is a romantic drama that has been shot in picturesque locations, including Ooty, Mysore, and Kuduremukha.

The film is directed by Raj B Shetty, in which he also stars. His last film Toby, which released two months ago failed to fire up the box office. The failure after the grand success of Garuda Gamana Vrishaba Vahana has put the director-actor on the back foot which he hopes to resurrect with the new film.

Notably, this film was officially announced on Vijayadashami last year, and the team chose to announce the release date at the same festival earlier this week.

The movie is being distributed by K R G Studios and will be a romantic drama featuring Raj B Shetty and Siri Ravikumar in the lead roles. The film also includes talented actors such as Rekha Koodligi, Balaji Manohar, Surya Vasisht, JP Tumminadu, Sneha Sharma, and Gopalkrishna Deshapande.

The film also marks the retur n of 'Sandalwood Queen' Ramya, but in a different role. She is producing the film under her new banner, K R G Studios. Her association with the project has added to the excitement surrounding this romantic drama.

The release of Bad Manners too has been delayed but finally it is now ready to test the box office waters.
