Elderly man's inappropriate video at a mall sparks outrage

Bengaluru: A video depicting an elderly man's inappropriate behaviour towards a young woman at a Bengaluru mall has gone viral on social media, prompting a police investigation.

The video captures the man intentionally touching the woman's back in the bustling games zone of the mall. The footage also reveals the man relocating to another area after his offensive actions.

Strikingly, the victim refrained from protesting in response to the misconduct. The video was uploaded to an Instagram account and swiftly gained widespread attention on social media.

On a particular Instagram account, @HateDetectors, the video of the incident was shared. The individual who posted the video described the unsettling event, stating, "Recorded this incident today evening around 6.30 p.m. in #LuluMallFunturaBengaluru. This man in the video was engaging in inappropriate behaviour towards random women and girls in this vicinity. When I initially observed him in a densely crowded area, I became suspicious and decided to follow him while recording the incident. This is what I captured. I then reported the incident to the mall's security personnel and, in collaboration, we attempted to locate him but regrettably couldn't. Subsequently, I informed the mall management and security, and they assured me that they would make efforts to identify the individual and take appropriate action. Such behaviour is deplorable and condemnable."
