
KSRTC bus torched during Maratha reservation protests in Maharashtra
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: In a violent turn of events during Maratha reservation protests in Maharashtra's Osmanabad district, miscreants set fire to a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus on Monday night in Turori village.
The bus, bearing registration KA 38F1201, was en route from Bhalki in Bidar district to Pune, carrying 48 passengers at the time of the incident.
Fortunately, all passengers are reported to be safe. Protesters halted the bus, instructed passengers to disembark, and subsequently set it ablaze in Turori village.
Local authorities have registered a case and are actively pursuing the culprits. Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC) has temporarily suspended all bus services to Maharashtra. The decision was made by KKRTC Managing Director M. Rachappa.
