Fire breaks out at sponge factory in city’s Gangammanagudi

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Adding to the series of fire accidents in the past few months, Bengaluru experienced another fire accident when a fire outbreak took place within the premises of a sponge factory near Gangammanagudi due to the accidental ignition of waste sponges.

The fire rapidly spread, engulfing an area spanning approximately 200 meters, and shrouding the vicinity in dense smoke. Firefighters responded promptly to the scene to extinguish the blaze.

The fire started when stored waste sponges on the factory's property caught fire, intensifying the fire. Initially, the factory's workers attempted to contain the fire, but as it escalated.
