Bengaluru: The police have identified the elderly man who was involved in the molestation of a woman at the Lulu Mall's games zone last Sunday.

This identification was made possible by analysing the widely circulated video footage across various social media platforms. However, the accused individual has absconded by locking his residence.

The accused has been identified as Ashwath Narayan, a 60-yearold resident of Basaveshwar Nagar.

A video capturing him inappropriately touching a woman was shared on social media, prompting concerned users to call for police intervention.

The accused, who had retired from his position as a head teacher in a school eight months ago, is now on the run. A concerned individual named Yashwanth had recorded the video of the man's misconduct and uploaded it on social media, tagging the Bengaluru police.

The video quickly gained widespread attention. In the meantime, the Magadi Road police are actively pursuing the accused in their ongoing search efforts.
