Overspeeding biker dies; falls 40 feet below the flyover

Bengaluru: A 38-year-old motorcycle rider died after his bike crashed into the retaining wall of a flyover near the Kunigal bypass in Nelamangala. Due to the impact, the biker fell 40 feet below the flyover.

The deceased was identified as Veerendra, who hailed from Raichur and was working in Bengaluru.

According to witnesses, Veerendra was overspeeding on his bike and lost control of it on the flyover. The bike flipped four to five times after hitting the retaining wall and broke into six pieces.

Some parts of the motorcycle fell on a temple below the flyover. It is being said that Veerendra was returning to Bengaluru when the accident occurred.

The police said that the rider suffered grievous injuries in the accident and was shifted to a hospital by the locals. However, he did not survive as he had bled heavily. The Nelamangala police have registered a case
