150 'kona' bulls registered for 'Namma Kambala'

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: In a meeting with various caste-linguistic organisations, Puttur MLA and Kambala Committee President Ashok Kumar Rai announced that over 150 bulls, with their owners, are set to arrive at "Bengaluru Kambala- Namma Kambala."

The bulls for the event which is expected to dazzle at the Palace Grounds in Bengaluru, will be given grand welcome at Hassan and Nelamangala.

The committee is also expecting a footfall of around 5 lakh for the event. Vice President of the Kambala Commitee Gunaranjan said CM Siddaramaiah has announced a grant of Rs 1 crore to the event.

Film stars like Aishwarya Rai and Anushka Shetty are among the key celebrities expected at the event. A theme song for "Bengaluru Kambala - Namma Kambala" has been composed by musician Gurukiran, with V Manohar giving lyrical inputs.
