Wipro mandates work from office thrice a week

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: In a move to improve productivity and facilitate face-to-face interactions, leading software services firm Wipro has informed workers that it is mandatory to come to office thrice a week, starting from November 15.

In an email from Saurabh Govil, the Chief Human Resources officer, the change in policy would enhance communication, resolve issues and foster team building, which factors into productive employees.

This move is followed by Wipro's peers Tata Consultancy Services and Infosys, who have mandated employees to be present at office five days a week and ten days a month, respectively.

Grave consequences from January next year "We believe that accountability is essential for the success and growth of our organisation", the mail added.
