14-yr-old threatens girl, stabs rescuer

Bengaluru: In a tragic cinema-like incident near Beegehalli on Bannerghatta Road, a minor boy, identified as Vineeth (14) from Jayanagar, threatened a girl with a pair of scissors, demanding money.

When the distressed girl cried for help, Annaiah, a Beegehalli resident, rushed to her aid.

In the scuffle, the minor boy stabbed Annaiah in the neck with the scissors. Despite being stabbed by the boy, Annaiah managed to rescue the girl and handed the young assailant over to the Bannerghatta police station.

In a separate incident, tragedy struck at an underconstruction building in Mastenahalli, Jigani taluk, where Praveen (30) from north Karnataka was electrocuted while drilling into a damp wall. The Jigani police rushed to the scene.
