B'luru to Jodhpur special trains to continue till late Nov

Bengaluru: South Western Railway (SWR) has announced that it will run two special trains between Bengaluru and Jodhpur, constituting six trips in either direction.

The service got underway on Thursday. The intention is to clear the rush caused by Deepavali. The first special train Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) Bengaluru to Bhagat-Ki-Kothi Station (Jodhpur) Special Express will run three trips via Ballari Cantonment and Hubballi.

The SMVT Bengaluru to Bhagat-Ki-Kothi Special Express would leave SMVT Bengaluru at 4:30 pm starting this Thursday three weeks in a row. The dates on which the trains leave Bengaluru would be November 9, 16, and 23.

They will reach Bhagat Ki Kothi Station at 11 am on the third day, which is Saturday. In the return direction, the Bhagat Ki Kothi to SMVT Bengaluru Special Express would leave Jodhpur at 6:30 am on Sundays three weeks in a row.

The dates in question are November 12, 19 and 26. The train would reach Bengaluru at 2:30 am on the third day, which is Tuesday. The second special train SMVT Bengaluru to BhagatKi-Kothi Special Express will make three trips via Arsikere town in Hassan district and Hubballi city.

The SMVT Bengaluru to Bhagat Ki Kothi Special Express leaves Bengaluru at 4:30 pm on Saturday three weeks in a row. The dates in question are November 11, 18, and 25.

The train would reach Jodhpur at 11:50 am on the third day, which is Monday. In the return direction, the Bhagat Ki Kothi to SMVT Bengaluru Special Express leaves the Jodhpur Station at 11 pm on Monday.

The dates in question are November 13, 20, and 2 7 . The train will reach Bengaluru at 2:45 pm on the third day, which is Wednesday. SWR has also disclosed that linen and bedroll will not be provided in these trains.
