BJP leaders get into scuffle during drought tour

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The BJP was left red-faced when two of its leaders got into a physical altercation over personal differences in Vibhuti Kere village in Ramanagara district on Thursday.

The leaders in question were saffron party MLC A Deve Gowda and BJP leader Jayaram. The duo had to be separated by party workers before they went their own way.

Unfortunately, the incident occurred during the Opposition party’s drought-related tour of the state.

The BJP had sought to capitalize on the dissatisfaction against the ruling Congress on the issues of drought and Cauvery river water sharing with Tamil Nadu.
