3 arrested for killing a friend over playing Kannada, Tamil songs

Bengaluru: The City Deputy Commissioner of Police, East Division, D Devaraj said that three youths have been arrested in connection with a murder of a 27-year-old man in Banaswadi Police Station limits recently.

News Trail on Wednesday, had reported about a man who died after his friend hit him on the head with a helmet.

The police have now found that the attack took place after the friends had an argument about which song should be played by the DJ at the Lingarajapuram fair in Bengaluru.

They fought regarding Tamil and Kannada songs played at the fair. According to police, the friends had a booze party on Tuesday night after which they were allegedly involved in an argument over a petty issue near Oil Mill Road in Lingarajapuram.
