'Namma Metro' introduces QR group tickets

Bengaluru: After demand from commuters, the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) will start issuing 'Mobile QR Group tickets', with effect from Thursday, November 16.

In a press release on Friday, Group tickets can be taken for a maximum of 6 passengers, with the 5% discount of the token fare. Passengers using this facility will receive a single QR ticket, encrypted with the number of passengers.

To enter and exit, each passenger needs to scan it once to proceed further.
