Forest dept captures leopard that attacked girl

Tumkur: A leopard, responsible for attacking a young girl playing in her house compound in Chikkabellavi two days ago, has been caught by the Forest Department.

Responding to the incident, concerned villagers had urged Forest officials to take action against the leopard. In line with their request, a cage was placed near a poultry farm just outside the village.

On Saturday morning, the 3-4-year-old leopard was trapped in the cage, putting an end to the havoc it had caused in Bellavi and the neighbouring villages.
