Fraudster, who posed as home minister's aide, on the run

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The Rajarajeshwari Nagar police are on the lookout for a fraudster who allegedly duped a city resident of Rs 4.5 lakh by promising a PG seat for his daughter at a medical college in the state.

The accused, identified as Zubair, a resident of Koratagere in Tumakuru district, is currently on the run, said Rajarajeshawari Nagar police.

According to a complaint, the victim and his daughter seeking help in the college admission, met Zubair through one of their friends, Lokeshwar Nayak and paid Rs 4.5 lakh to Zubair through online banking and was given duplicate fee receipt bearing college name and credentials.
