23 special trains operational for Deepavali, says SWR
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: South Western Railway (SWR) disclosed that it is running 23 pairs of special trains to clear the rush caused by people visiting their native places for Deepavali.
“For the convenience of passengers during Deepavali festival, 23 pairs of special trains are planned and run by SWR to various destinations such as Mangaluru, Belagavi, Bidar, Hubballi, New Delhi, Bhagat ki Kothi (Jodhpur), Kazipet (in Telangana) and other places,” SWR Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Aneesh Hegde said.
There are daily trains between Majestic Station in Bengaluru to Hubballi, Vijayapura to Yesvantpur, Vijayapura to Mangaluru and visa versa, Bengaluru to Hosapete and visa versa and weekly trains every Friday between Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) and Belagavi.
