
Inter-school competition; students to give solutions for B’luru
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Schools across the city will be gearing up for an Ideathon, to look for ideas from students on how to improve their beloved city, which they live in.
This announcement which comes on Children’s Day, is an effort to strengthen the government’s “Brand Bengaluru” initiative, which aims to make the city clean, green and sustainable.
This competition is designed to foster creative problemsolving and active citizenship among the students of Bengaluru. In this open competition, a team of two can submit their ideas either in English or Kannada.
Around 200 entries, on a first come first serve basis will be taken by December 5. Screening and deliberation of these ideas will take place, and top ideas, which revolve around the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 will be selected for jury in the ‘Grand Finale.’
The finale, will feature eminent personalities like Sudha Murthy and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar. The ideathon is the brainchild of Aisshwarya DKS Hegde, director Global Academy of Technology and eldest daughter of Dy. CM DK Shivakumar.
