Chamarajnagar man commits suicide by coming under KSRTC bus

Mysuru, NT Bureau: A 34 year- old - man committed suicide by coming under the back wheels of a moving bus near the KSRTC bus stand in Chamarajnagar on Wednesday, According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Rangaswamy of Yalakkur village of the taluk.

Rangaswamy who was standing on the roadside near Hotel Mayura suddenly jumped out to commit suicide by coming under the wheels. The incident took place around 12.30 pm when the KSRTC bus bound for Gundlupet took a turn towards a deviation road.

Rangaswamy who was seriously injured in the incident, breathed his last when the police were shifting him to Chamarajnagar Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) hospital.

Speaking to News Trail, Chamarajnagar Town Police Inspector Rajesh said that the police had recovered CCTV footage of the incident.

The deceased who was dejected in life due to domestic issues took the extreme step of ending his lif, the police said. Chamarajnagar Town Police have registered a case and an investigation is underway.
