Bengaluru: In a move to ease connectivity with workplace and public transport, the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited, ‘Namma Metro’ had agreed to construct a underground subway connecting the Lakkasandra metro station and Bosch Campus on Friday.
In a first for the pink line, the Lakkasandra metro station will help over 12,000 Bosch employees, as they don’t have to cross the road and ease traffic congestion in the area.
Details of the agreement, which is revealed in a press release, says that an underground walkway from the concourse level of the station to the campus will be in place for thirty years. Civil works will be carried by the BMRCL at the cost of the multinational company.
The Pink Linee of Namma Metro connects Kalena Agrahara and Nagawara. Construction of the line is moving at a rapid pace, as the line is touted to be operational by March 2025.
This line will also see Shivajinagar, Cantonment and Dairy Circle connect with other significant areas of the city.
